on land
Face up to the challenge. Make your way across rocky and sandy stretches.
Get stuck in the mud. Put your worries aside and resign yourself
to the pleasant surprises that await. Offroad excursions can be
made in closed vehicles like buggies, which are available for rent
in many places, with or without a driver. The states of Ceará
and Rio Grande do Norte are the undisputed offroad champs, although
this kind of adventure can be enjoyed almost anywhere in Brazil.
For cycling enthusiasts there's even a network of scenic trails
winding through the country, on the beaches and in the cities. For
those who prefer to support themselves with their feet, hands and
the movements of the body, we recommend the exhilaration of rock
climbing and other vertical challenges. Or, test your skills in
a canoe or kayak: Tackle the rapids amid spectacular scenery. There's
nothing like it! And for those who really like to throw themselves
into an adventure, bungee jumping will do the trick.

Brazil will blow you away with its 8,000 kilometers of coastline,
hundreds of rivers and waterfalls, and a universe of subaquatic
flora and fauna. There are so many amazing places to discover while
rafting, canoeing or tubing, snorkeling or diving. It could be a

Rio de Janeiro,
the second biggest urban centre in Brazil, has the greatest number
of venues offering a variety of adventure sports in the same space,
hence the coined term combo. For example, at Sugar Loaf (Pão
de Açúcar) there is rock climbing and rappel, from
the ramp at Pedra Bonita there are both paragliding and
hang-gliding, and in São Conrado, there is surfing, kite
surfing as well as wind-surfing.
