This preservation program divided the state in tour regions. Some of them are: Baía de Todos os Santos, the bay where capital Salvador is located; Chapada Diamantina, with the City of Lençóis as its main support place to visit grottoes, caves and waterfalls; Baleias Coast, composed of Mucuri, Caravelas, Alcobaça Cities, the National Sea Park of Abrolhos and Prado; Coqueiros Coast, with very beautiful beaches and few people, and which includes Lauro de Freitas, Sauípe Coast, Fort Beach and Imbassaí; Cacau Coast, whose main place is Ilhéus, and which also includes Canavieiras, Itacaré, the Biological Reserve of Una, Margarida and Muta Salt Mines; the Discovery Coast, where the main cities are: Arraial D’Ajuda, Belmonte, Santa Cruz de Cabrália and Porto Seguro; Dendê Coast, which has a group of cities with international recognition: Morro de São Paulo, Guaibim, Valença, Boipeba, Baía de Camamu and Maraú, among others.

This variety of tour places provide the visitors with new leisure and entertainment options, appreciating the potential that each of them can offer, such as the practice of sports and the most varied types of tour: ecotourism, adventure tour, rural tour, religious tour and cultural tour.

And the attractions are not over. The coast of Bahia is also considered as one of the best places to practice the type of sports that has been attracting more and more people all over the world: the surf. Several places of the state are listed as offering good waves, such as Ilhéus, Itacaré, Salvador and all the Coqueiros Coast region, especially Fort Beach.
